How to follow a diet for duodenal ulcer

Everyone knows that water and food are important "energy materials" for the human body. But sometimes we stop eating right, start to adhere to a variety of diets, or even completely exclude animal food from the diet, switching to vegetable food. It also happens that we turn off the mind and fill our stomach with "harmful" products: carcinogens, dyes, preservatives and other far from useful substances. Our weakness affects the stomach, which can be susceptible to various diseases - gastritis, allergies, peptic ulcers and other misfortunes.

If a nuisance happened - you have been diagnosed with a stomach disease, then a strict diet should be followed throughout the treatment. In case of duodenal ulcer, the healing process should take place with a correctly prepared diet, so that the "restoration work" in the body takes place as quickly as possible.

An ulcer on the walls of the duodenum appears as a result of exposure to pepsin (a globular protein) and acid, from which the mucosa of the duodenum transforms and loses its integrity. Also, the reason may be hiding in the infection of a person with the bacterium Helicobacter pylori. Peptic ulcer can develop with alcohol, smoking, and unhealthy diet. Symptoms can not be overlooked, they appear as follows:

- abdominal pain (usually in the upper part) begins to appear periodically;

- there is a feeling of bloating, nausea, belching and flatulence;

- if no treatment is given, vomiting with blood may begin .

Blood may be contained in the feces of the patient. All this is a signal of the beginning of internal bleeding.

Diet for duodenal ulcer consists in serious compliance with the following conditions:

- dishes should contain the amount of minerals, vitamins necessary for the body (especially vitamins of group B, vitamin A and C), carbohydrates, fats and proteins;

- food should not be too greasy, spicy, salty. This condition is necessary for the menu with duodenal ulcer to avoid irritating effects on the gastric mucosa;

- you need to eat often, but in small portions, the maximum break is 4 hours;

- excludes the use of too hot or cold food;

- solid food is best consumed in grated form.

Remember that compliance with all conditions will accelerate your recovery, so you should not be afraid of such a strict diet. For duodenal ulcers, include the following foods in your diet:

Do not confuse an ulcer with erosion of the stomach and duodenum. With erosion, lesions remain on the border of muscle tissue, in contrast to an ulcer that extends beyond these boundaries. Erosion does not leave scars on the walls of the stomach, but heals without a trace. Diet with erosion of the duodenum is observed according to a similar list of products that with an ulcer.
