Ufa PHP Developers Meeting

Often cool things come out almost spontaneously - and because someone doesn’t need to do a little more. Excellent speakers gathered in Ufa for the conference - and easily agreed to read on an additional, more technical report, separately from the main event. The organizers of Ufadevconf, for which special thanks to them, agreed to compensate the speakers for an extra day in the city. And the guys from Modulbank who wrote for a long time that they are ready to cooperate with us on the line of mitaps did not disappoint: they gave the site, although PHP is not even their stack, and things can be more interesting on Friday evening.

But the rest - slides, pizza, registration - not a problem. Check out the Ufa PHP mitap on the evening of November 29th. And if you want to enter - there is a slot for the third report.

Under the cut you can meet already confirmed speakers.

Sergey Zhuk, senior backend developer of the Words application from Skyeng, author of a blog and books about asynchronous PHP (and not only)

What will you tell about at the mitap?

How to improve the performance of your applications with ReactPHP and make friends synchronous and asynchronous code.

What else would I like to listen to - for example, from the 3rd speaker we are looking for?

Something about soft skills or toxicity, for example.

Tell the most terrible and shameful story from your practice.

In one of our previous works, we began to do large-scale refactoring from CodeIgniter to Laravel, and in the middle of this I quit.

Anton Morev, CTO Wormsoft, speaker at PHP Russia and many other conferences

What will you tell about at the mitap?

I'll tell you how we organize a repository of a large number of images using Glide, Flysystem, Yii2 and NuxtJS.

What else would I like to listen to - for example, from the 3rd speaker we are looking for?

About typical mistakes of PHP developers, which are not always obvious.

Tell the most terrible and shameful story from your practice.

Once we were finalizing the visual of the application form with the client. The developer, in order not to pull the application processing API once again, commented out the sending line in the API.

For several days, we tested the animation of sending the application form, received the cherished “ok” from the client and sent it to the release ... For several days, potential clients of our client saw a beautiful animation of sending the application, but no one contacted them ... After all, each of us is a developer, a tester , the client and, of course, I thought: "Well, someone definitely checked the fact of sending."

ps You can follow the rallies and broadcasts from other cities or take part in the life of the PHP community throughout the country on the github .
