A small digression: Who wants to
This article is not about how I
Quite a long time ago, I bought a keenetic kn-1310 router. When choosing at that time, I was completely add. options like connecting usb drives and modems, so I bought the most budget one.
I was just tired of butting with the provider and decided to switch to mobile Internet, the benefit of hspa + and lte is wonderful. But this router does not have usb support, unlike his older brothers, and banal curiosity led to his autopsy ...
So let's get started.
Opening the router, we see the usb port not soldered, looking at the datasheet on the MT7628 processor, we see that this processor supports usb, and soon I realized that all the older brothers of this router have practically identical hardware. There were no jumpers on the tracks going to the usb port, they must be soldered as in the photo:
I jumped the jumpers from the old dsl modem, but you can solder the wires.
Then you need to submit + 5v to the usb port, for this you need to either solder the entire bundle as in the diagram, or use any dc-dc down converter as the router is powered by + 9v.
I have a lot of charges used in cars so I pinned one of them.
Here is a diagram from where I got + 9v power and where to go to usb + 5v:

Next, you need to flash our router, for this download Keenetic Recovery
I will not describe the flashing process; we read on the official website also in the downloaded and unpacked firmware program there is an instruction.
After this manipulation, the router will support a usb modem, who needs drive support, flash under kn-1410.
Thank you all for your attention, I hope someone will be useful.
