Where to the front-runner to look for work and not to fall for: Telegram, Slack and not only

There were already materials where they talked about a bot that talks to a recruiter and all kinds of spam filters for mail. A couple of weeks ago, I also decided to change jobs. I had one task - especially not to shine.

And I wanted to carefully search for work for two reasons:

  1. I didnā€™t want to advertise that I was considering the proposals, because there is responsibility to the current employer and projects that are not yet completed;
  2. I donā€™t want to catch a lot of spam and go to interviews in companies that themselves do not know who they are looking for.

How it all began. Okay, first I posted the resume on Hehe (there you can also neatly anonymous), but after 10 minutes this flew in:

So I decided to control the search process myself and demolished my resume from there.

He collected for himself platforms where this can be done, Telegram channels and chats, Slack communities. And for lovers of exotic - Skype.

While I'm in the process of being interviewed. And I share the selection:

Platforms:

Djinni - I heard a lot about her, but there is mainly a Ukrainian audience and I didnā€™t get anything sensible (I judge by SimilarWeb statistics).

Arena is a new platform where you can anonymously search. A vacancy comes and you click either ā€œInterestingā€ or ā€œUninterestingā€. If the first, then the company sees your contacts and write off. I got several vacancies, all the rules. Like one.

Telegram chats:

pro js - chat, where among other things you can find vacancies.

Javscript Jobs ( @javascript_jobs ) - there is a lot of talk, but there are also vacancies. Most often they are duplicated with @js_ru.

Telegram channels:

JavaScript Jobs ( @jsdevjob ) is a Proglib community channel, there are sensible positions, but they post something quite rarely.

JavaScript Jobs ( @js_ru ) is the largest channel with JS jobs. Itā€™s cool that they are severely moderated and thereā€™s definitely a plug everywhere. There are channels for different frameworks: Node JS Jobs ( @nodejs_jobs ), React JS ( @react_js ), Angular JS ( @angular_ru ).

Web Freelance ( @webfrl ) - a channel where you can cling to some kind of project work or a remote site.

TProger ( @tproger_official ) is a channel of a Typical programmer, here, in addition to articles and all sorts of similar things, there are also vacancies.

Front-end Developer Jobs ( @front_end_jobs ) is a very small channel, but sometimes interesting positions come across here.

TOP vacancies for programmers ( @jobGeeks ) - everything in a row, you can grab something sensible using the #frontend tag.

Slack community

Javascript RU is a good community, among other things, here timlids themselves sometimes post vacancies.

React JS is an international community, but there is also a branch with vacancies.

Skype

For fans of "Alo, do you hear? And now? And now? Let's try it without video ā€- Skype chat rooms. They are more likely dead than alive. But suddenly.

TRUE JavaScript / HTML / CSS

TRUE JavaScript

React JS

Add in the comments if you also know some sensible sources of vacancies.
