For prevention, especially in winter, it is recommended to eat a little raw red onion during lunch.









The properties of this wonderful vegetable are beneficial for the acidic environment of the stomach. For people with secretory insufficiency, it is very useful to take a few tablespoons of onion juice every day. In addition, it is able to improve digestion processes, and hence metabolism. It is often part of diet foods, as it contributes to the loss of excess weight.





From ancient times it is known that with the help of red onions you can get rid of worms. To do this, you can either take an infusion based on it, or just eat whole adults and half of them for children at dinner. To prepare the infusion, the onion must be cut in half and pour a glass of boiling water.





Red onion is able to cure even the scourge of our time - high cholesterol, which can cause obesity and provoke the development of cancer cells, which means that red onion also fights cancer. If you force yourself to eat at least a quarter of a head of red onion per day, then just a month later you can notice that the cholesterol level has decreased by about twenty-five percent.

The beneficial properties of red onion have found their application in dermatology and cosmetology. For example, to stop or prevent hair loss, you can use a mask from this bright vegetable. It must be chopped in a meat grinder and immediately applied to the head. But be careful - during the first use it is better not to use shampoo first, since you can cause an allergic reaction. In addition, red onion pulp is used to treat warts and relieve itching with insect bites.





In order to get rid of corns, you can make compresses based on the husks of red onions. To do this, it must be poured with vinegar and left to infuse in a dark place for about twelve to thirteen days. The resulting mixture must be applied in the evening on the corn, and in the morning clean it with pumice.





Red onion is truly rich in various vitamins and minerals, therefore, in order to avoid various diseases, especially in winter, do not forget to include it in your menu.
