New Years is soon. PHP - 25 *. That's what we want to wish him

Modern PHP is not at all what it was during the fifth version. It's a shame to still meet the language haters who accuse him in the old fashion, not knowing the 7th version. We hope that we will not meet them at the big PHP-meeting in Kazan on December 14th. And we are waiting for everyone else with joy. It will be Saturday afternoon, so you can get from Innopolis, Chelny, Ulyanovsk, Moscow ... Many speakers will also come from other cities.

In general, come. And also add to the chat of the first Kazan BeerPHP meeting - it will take place immediately after the meeting.

By tradition, we took a blitz interview from the speakers: we learned what they would like for the language, what they would surprise at the meeting, what things they were not proud of and what else to talk about with them, in addition to development.

Two in one! In those days when SVN and FTP ruled the world, I, as a june, managed to bang the entire server to my colleagues, killing all the code that was uploaded on it. The code there, of course, was not very good, so you can be proud of that too.

In 2020, PHP will turn 25 years old. What would you say to your colleagues and wish the language?

I think it’s rather strange to want something in the language, he won’t understand :) It’s more important to wish Dmitry patience and inspiration to Nikita, the guys who are currently the main contributors to its development. Without them, we would not see the speed of PHP 7, nor throwable exceptions, nor coroutine, nor lambdas, nor heaps of other cool pieces of the modern language.

But I wish my colleagues time and opportunity to realize their grand ideas on the pages of GitHub / GitLab / Bitbucket (salt / pepper / felt-tip pens to taste).

ps See you at mitap or in the next issue.

* we ran ahead for six months for the sake of a red word in the title, PHP will turn 25 years old in summer 2020
