Flora design

The Flora table lamp has a base in the form of a flower pot in which stationery can be placed. The large green stem of the LED mount is fully flexible and movable. A small translucent sheet works as a night lamp. At the base of the sheet is an LED that illuminates the sheet from the inside.

Illumination

Samples are heated for 1 hour until the parameters stabilize. We measure the illumination on the desktop at minimum and maximum brightness using a light meter.

According to the standards, the level of illumination of the workplace should be at least 300 lux. This indicator relates to the performance of minor works, reading, drawing and other types.



The measurement results showed a maximum illumination of up to 1320 and 970 lux, respectively, which is enough for any precise work.

Unlike conventional luminaires

Spectrum

A study of the spectrum of conventional LED and fluorescent lamps revealed an effect on human vision and condition. In ordinary LEDs, there is a large amount of blue at a wavelength of 450 nm, which does not allow the pupil to narrow normally. The pupil passes a lot of blue light, which accelerates the deterioration of vision. A large amount of blue light reduces the production of sleep hormone melatonin, which can weaken the immune system and affect other processes.







The Orion and Flora table lamps use the new Korean Sunlike LEDs, which have an even spectrum and are devoid of a large peak of blue light. The light is obtained as close as possible to natural sunlight in the spectrum.







Many smartphones already have night mode and reading mode, which are used when there is no external lighting, the smartphone screen becomes the only light source. In these modes, the radiation in the blue spectrum is reduced, the hue of the image is shifted to the warm part of the spectrum.

Colour temperature

One of the advantages of Orion and Flora LED table lamps is the ability to continuously adjust the color temperature. When turned on, it shines neutrally with white light at 4300K, the hue smoothly changes with two touch buttons. The measured adjustment range was from 2700K to 6700K, which corresponds to warm and cold white light. This will create a comfortable workplace lighting depending on your preferences.

Color rendering index

A high color rendering index provides accurate color reproduction and contrast, which is especially necessary when reading and working with documents. According to the measurement results, the color rendering is within the CRI 93-97, which is an excellent result.

For conventional LED light sources, the color rendering index is CRI 70-80, when the standard requires a minimum of CRI80 for residential premises. For reading and accurate work, CRI90 and above is required. Most often, manufacturers save and install the cheapest LEDs with CRI70, although CRI80 is indicated in the specifications.
