Free broadcast of DotNext and HolyJS

On November 6, that is, tomorrow, the DotNext 2019 Moscow conference will begin. These are two days of reports for .NET developers: hardcore, low-level details, maximum performance, best practices, architecture and so on.

And immediately after it, on November 8 and 9, the HolyJS 2019 Moscow conference will be held. These are two days of endless front-end fun.

Of the thirty reports at each of the conferences, you can watch YouTube reports on the first day, held in the first hall, for free, on the completely 6 pieces. In the same online broadcast there will be interviews between reports.

Where to get the broadcast

Broadcast pages are waiting for these link buttons:

A video player and a program of the first room are available.

Broadcast Start Time:

After a short introduction, you can watch the official opening of the conference with everyone, which will smoothly switch to viewing reports (the first report in both cases starts at 10:30), and will end closer to 8 o’clock in the evening. It is not necessary to start broadcasting in the morning - it will work all day, so you can open it only on the most important reports.

Keynotes of the HolyJS Conference

At JUG Ru Group conferences, many speakers dig deep in a narrow professional well. But in keynotes that open or close the day, otherwise: they call to think about global things.

Guillermo Rauch will open HolyJS on November 8th. Guillermo is a co-founder of ZEIT - the office that Next.js writes, which is now one of the main solutions for dynamic things on React that want to render on the server. Accordingly, the report promises to be very interesting from the point of view of a very broad view of all this.

And closing the free broadcast from the HolyJS conference will be a report with a very unusual title - “Can a computer pray for the benefit of all living things? Prayer for JavaScript and WebGL ”by Denis Radin, author of HTML-GL, Reactive Elements.

Keynotes of the DotNext Conference

The DotNext conference has its own heroes. For example, Cyril Skrygan, leader of the Rider team at JetBrains, will open the DotNext conference with “Platform Wars”. With his work, you inevitably see not only code, but also these very “platform wars”: how do large IT companies and their projects interact in the industry and what does this mean for us?

And the free broadcast from the DotNext conference will be closed by the famous popularizer of science and the fighter against pseudoscience Alexander Panchin, who will compare the predictions of science fiction writers about biotechnology and what we really see in practice. This report may be of interest to many developers of various directions, and not only to them.

Between keynotes in each broadcast, four in-depth technical reports await you at each conference. Want to find out which ones - see the DotNext , HolyJS program and plan your time. Plus, in between reports on the broadcast there will be a series of interviews with speakers.

What will not be

Free broadcast of only the first day and only the first hall at each conference, when there are three halls, great limits. In addition, some things just require physically being at the conference venue so that you can conveniently communicate, share knowledge and so on. A couple of examples:

Discussion areas

After each report, the speaker goes to a dedicated discussion area, where you can chat with him and ask your questions. Formally, the time for this is limited to a break between reports. But although the speakers are not required to stay longer if an active discussion ensues, it usually lasts much longer - for example, the whole time of the next report. Sometimes it makes sense to skip the report from the main program (if you bought a ticket, you will still have entries after filling out the feedback) and spend it on focused communication with an important expert.

Exhibition area

In addition to discussion areas during the break, you can visit the exhibition area. The exhibition is the stand area of the partner companies of the conference. You can learn about interesting projects, technologies and teamwork of leaders in the IT industry. This is the place where you and the company can find each other. Please note that there will be representatives of companies that you will not meet face to face live with every day.

Additional activity in the exhibition area - Demo Stage. Demo Stage is a dedicated stage for sponsors and partners, where companies present their reports, share practical experience and summarize the draws. The program can be viewed on the site, if you go to the section with the DotNext and HolyJS program and set the Demo Stage switch to the appropriate position.

Workshops

Free workshops will be held in a separate room for two days - these are practical exercises where you can learn something new in practice. If you plan to attend workshops, be sure to bring laptops with you.

At DotNext, we’ll be pleased:

And on HolyJS we are expected:

Bof sessions

BOF is now the traditional format for JUG Ru Group conferences. Something like a round table or discussion group in which everyone can participate. There is no division by speaker and participant: everyone participates on an equal footing.

Currently, three BOF sessions are planned for DotNext: “Future of .NET”, “.NET Core”, “Performance”. There will also be three BOF sessions at HolyJS: “Modern rendering approaches”, “Education for an engineer” and “What about Node.js?”

A party

Formally, BOF sessions are related to the party and you can easily flow from pleasant conversations and informal communication to serious conversations in the BOF session and vice versa.

Beer and pizza party for everyone who wants to unload their head after a busy day. You can have a drink with your favorite speaker and colleagues and talk about everything in an informal setting. A warm tube atmosphere is expected for this.

If at the DotNext conference there will be “just a party”, then an expanded program has been compiled for HolyJS. In addition to the activities described above, HolyJS guests also expect:
