Hello! We invite you to the first meeting for designers in Avito. It is devoted to important components of the process and the profession as a whole - “design atoms” (not to be confused with the atomic design described by Brad Frost). In the first issue, real cases are not only and not so much about aesthetics as how design helped the business and team work. Among other things, we will discuss letters, colors, and shapes.

We plan to call printers, art directors, illustrators, managers, product and industrial designers in the future, so that they share their experience.

Working on the font, we not only create new graphics, but also develop a tool. And this tool cannot be made really convenient without being in constant dialogue with graphic designers. We give fonts for testing in real projects, teach and talk about all the features of typography. Such communication allows us to create long-playing projects in return for fastfood production.

In two years, the design team of Farfetch, the largest marketplace of premium clothing and accessories in Europe, has grown from 8 to 60+ designers. The company introduced a component approach to creating interfaces - this consolidated the work of remote teams and helped to create more consistent interfaces. The approach also opened up new business opportunities. The report will include the technical part on the implementation of the design system in a large team in practice, as well as its impact on business metrics.
