A convenient application, used on both iOS and Android, leaves only a pleasant impression.
Used and did not know troubles. There were minor problems with connecting to the Internet in Oslo (Norway), but the support promptly decided everything, of course, not forgetting to âget me wetâ, saying that everything was in the FAQ, but I donât have to memorize it by heart, and the application could be notified by geolocation to do that change in the settings, getting into a certain country, but I find fault with it, although if released, it will be cool.
We continue to use it, everything is fine, though the minimum replenishment amount introduced at the end of 2018 was a little disappointing - namely, 25 euros is not very convenient, but the support referred to the optimization of payments and commissions, what to do ... we will survive.
And in October of this year, I fly to Malta. Everything is fine, the Internet immediately earned without additional gestures. I managed to call a taxi and get to the place of deployment. Further, no problem to use. But one evening, a situation occurs (it should be noted right away that when I arrived home, in the wifi zone, I turned off data roaming so that the phone didnât eat mobile traffic with its tricky algorithms, when it wasnât happy with the wifi connection, this function, by the way, can also be disabled). I lie to myself, rest, read Habr, news and, already about to sleep, I decided to see the costs of Drimsim for the day. And what do I see? And I see the following: after I got home, connected to wifi and turned off data roaming, every minute, two, three, five, ten, Iâm being charged, 0 Mb, 0.0001 euros. The amount is ridiculous of course, but that is not the point, but the fact is that the nature of the charges is not clear and the inquiring mind wanted to know why this happens? Because today 0.0001 euros, and tomorrow all traffic will fly away, and then "prove your innocence somewhere in the 21st century." I am writing in support. To which they answer me that the 4G mode implies a constant exchange of data of 1-2 kilobytes, and so it is conceived according to the 4G standard and there is nothing to be done. Oh, but this is bad luck: 4G mode was turned off before traveling abroad and inserting a Drimsim card into a smartphone. Support does not give up: with a weak wifi signal, the phone can use mobile traffic. To which he receives a reinforced concrete answer - the date of roaming is off, and since Drimsim is in roaming, there should be no Internet. Support is retiring, promises to sort it out and as soon as they contact partners, return to the situation and send me an answer. After a couple of days, without waiting for an answer, I remind you of the situation, but in return I get: have not yet received information from a partner, wait.
Then I was not up to them, in Slovakia I bought a local T-Mobile SIM card with Internet, which works throughout the European Union, Internet access through it was two times cheaper than on Drimsim. Upon arrival home, I decided to remind myself, but the guys apparently didnât expect it, asked for a break and promised "to sort it out today during the day." And then the circus: it took support a three weeks to compose an excuse in the form of a statement of expenses for mail, in which records of this kind 0.00 mb - 0.00 euros, well, i.e. not at all what was shown on the phone, but even worse, everything is rounded to two decimal places and, as it were, expenses for âzerosâ, this is an indicator of work! I go to the support chat and ask a reasonable question: how can I get a listing that doesnât clarify the problem at all, itâs also with rounding. Answer, I quote: âunfortunately, we canât clarify the reason for these charges, this information is available only from the ownerâs smartphoneâ ... To questions about logs, etc. again, streamlined answers such as âwe only provide servicesâ went well and it all ended up being told me that this was a problem in the phone and I had to contact Huawei support.
What am I talking about, Drimsimâs certainly handsome, have moved out not on 4G so on smartphone software. Although I personally doubt that the problem is in the software of one of the top smartphones, and even if it were, it would also appear on my native SIM card, which, by the way, was also in roaming.
The moral of the article is to be on the alert, and as support advises, get a SIM card, every time you go into the wifi reception area, then they definitely wonât write off the extra money. But this is sarcasm, then itâs easier not to insert this SIM card. )

PPS you can certainly buy a European sim and replenish it, but I canât even replenish the Russian TELE2 from the Belarusian card.
