The law on news aggregators adopted in 2016 by the State Duma forces Yandex.News to index only the media registered by Roskomnadzor. Information unwanted by the authorities almost disappeared from the TOP of Yandex, and the pro-Kremlin publications got the opportunity to form propaganda stories.

Starting with the laws on blocking sites in 2012, Roskomnadzor is becoming the main censorship tool on the network. Office in Runet immediately disliked.
The first large site blocked by the new law was the famous Internet encyclopedia of Lurkomorye, which archived the memes that arose on such popular resources as Dvach, Lepra, YouTube and others.

Khomak, at the request of Roskomnadzor, blocked access to articles from Russia, but the flow of bans did not stop. In the end, the founder of Lurkomorye announced the conservation of the project. In memory of the encyclopedia on Rain, they read the news on Lurkoyaz.

In 2013, journalist Elena Klimova created the “Children-404” public on Vkontakte dedicated to LGBT teens.

Conceived initially as a photo-action, against the adoption of the law on gay propaganda, the public gradually turned into a support group for LGBT teenagers. In total, more than 9,000 minors turned to the community for help. Anti-Gay law was passed, and soon Klimov was fined 50,000 rubles under it.

In fact, you can block a person as well as content. To do this, you just need to plant it. 5 years ago, the State Duma unanimously adopted amendments to article 282. From now on, Internet posts can also be considered extremism.
Vadim Tyumentsev is a multifaceted person, he studies the relationship of trees with space, participates in expeditions to search for meteorites, writes brochures on demographic cycles. At the same time, she doesn’t work anywhere, lives with her mother and 96 year old grandmother.

In the beginning of the tenths, the opposition-minded Tyumentsev started a video blog and soon became a headache for the local authorities. At the beginning of 2015, an OMON burst into his apartment in the early morning.
