On the occasion of bad weather and the release of an iPhone with a processor of almost 10 billion transistors, I would like to collect some up-to-date statistics from Habr users about modern preferences in terms of choosing computer hardware. If it’s not difficult to answer a couple of questions (and see the statistics of answers), I ask for a cut!



The main question that has been troubling in recent years is whether desktops are being replaced by more portable (albeit less productive) devices, and whether the tasks of storing and processing large data are transferred to the clouds (which allows the use of “lighter” clients to solve difficult tasks that usually decided on desktops).
