Today we continue to deepen our understanding of salaries and look at the salaries of developers of various qualifications. Let's look at the state of salaries in the first half of 2019, and then at the same salaries in dynamics over the last 2 years, and finally we will analyze the qualifications in each language separately.

Salary of developers of various qualifications in the first half of 2019
To begin with, let's take a look at the salaries of developers of various qualifications.
Starting from an intern with a median salary of 30,000 rubles, the salary of each next qualification grows as follows: June - 1.7 times (50,000 rubles), middle - 1.8 (90 000 rubles), senior - 1 , 7 (150,000 rubles), lead - 1.1 times (170,000 rubles).
The lead salary in development as a whole is 3.4 times the June salary.
Now let's look at the salaries of developers of different qualifications in each language separately:
- In June, salaries range from 40,000 (PHP, Kotlin) to 60,000 (Go, Python, Swift) and 70,000 rubles. (Ruby on Rails)
- In middles - from 80,000 (1C, C #, PHP) to 120,000 rubles. (Objective-C, Swift).
- Seniors - from 130,000 (PHP) to 180,000 rubles. (Objective-C, Swift).
- Leads - from 150,000 (1C, PHP) to 200,000 rubles. (Go, Kotlin).
In general, a common pattern is observed in all languages: with increasing qualifications, the jump to the next level of salary gradually decreases. From June to Middle, the jump is the largest - 1.9 times, from Middle to Senior already smaller - 1.6 times, and from Senior to Lead quite small - 1.1 times.
There is one exception - Kotlin. Here the leap from June to Middle is very different from other languages and is 2.4 times.
It is interesting to compare the maximum career step in each language.
As we saw at the beginning, on average, the salary of the highest qualification, the lead, is 3.6 times higher than the salary of the youngest, June. If we look at each language separately, we will see that the largest gap between these qualifications is among Kotlin developers, it is 4.6 times. And the smallest - at Ruby on Rails developers - 2.4 times. In the latter, it is obvious that this is due to one of the highest salaries of the Jones, in comparison with other languages.

Now let's see how the median salaries for all qualifications have changed over the past two years.
We see that in all qualifications there was a gradual increase in salaries. Only the leading developers during this time had a slight decline, after which the growth resumed.
Over the past two years, the largest jump in the median salary of the June was 25%, followed by trainees, middle and senior, with a margin of 2%. The wages of the leaders changed the weakest - only 9%.

The median salary of Objective-C developers as a whole is 150,000 rubles.
Starting from the middle with a salary of 120,000 rubles. on average, the salary of each next qualification grows as follows: senior - 1.5 (180 000 rubles), lead - 1.1 times (190 000 rubles).
Swift developers salary
The median salary of Swift developers as a whole is 130,000 rubles.
Starting from June with a salary of 60,000 rubles. on average, the salary of each next qualification grows as follows: middle - 2 times (118 000 rubles), senior - 1.5 (176 000 rubles), lead - 1.1 times (190 000 rubles).
