Hello! We continue to work on the โ€œDreamโ€ game Another Way. This is the third post on this subject, you can familiarize yourself with the previous one by the link - Through thorns to the dream game - a month later . I did not write about progress for a little over a month, a lot of information has accumulated, so there will be a minimum of text, but a lot of pictures. To all those who are not afraid of traffic - welcome to cat.



In this update, I want to demonstrate a small evolution of some of the things that we talked about earlier.

Above is the early concept of Hagvos. At the time of its creation, it corresponded to the artistic description and this was quite enough. But time passed, we started developing the game, and one of the central creatures of the first chapter is just our Blind and before the modeling process we managed to get a more elaborate concept.

One of the few moments that are filled with a whole bunch of emotions. A very strange feeling, which can probably be called happiness. When, from the first letter written about this creature once upon a time, you see the final result, a model that has already migrated to the game.







All the rest will be just regular and will not bring such feelings in rare exceptions.



In previous posts, we mentioned that we started developing a modular system of buildings, houses, and now we are sharing our progress.







At the moment, this is something from which it is already possible to build full-fledged houses in several variations.







And yes, our guys who are engaged in modeling continue to create more and more environment objects.







Of course, we also replenish our bestiary. One of the future creatures - Bolotnik











But more importantly, we already got some kind of pipeline, bringing the process from the concept to the appearance of the character in the game space and already now Bolotnik is getting a clearer outline







Each character of our universe has its own story, its own fate and its own character. Therefore, we work out their external references based on the available information about a particular hero, make them such that even the appearance already speaks for itself.











Most of the time since the last update, we also did side things, married GIT and UE4, for a comfortable collaboration on the project, we found out what Unut Muti User Edit Tool eat, lit up the optimization, learned how much cascading shadows โ€œeatโ€, why โ€œconvexโ€ textures not always good, they realized that 4k cards are not a panacea and did other no less interesting things.
