Moving the power supply to the front of the chassis
As the name implies, there was a need to transfer BP. In parallel, modernizing old iron and modding the PC.
Essentially available:

All this stuff should be installed in the Chieftec MX-01WD-P case.
The case is quite roomy, however, in order to install the SJO in it, it needs to be slightly modified. The installation site of the SJO was selected top of the housing. The installation location of the PSU (as seen in the photo below) is only at the top.
And then there was a problem with the installation of the coolant, or the length of the hoses will not be enough, or they will be unnaturally bent, which may subsequently affect its work. In addition, the issue of blocking the power supply of one of the fans of the coolant cooling system remains unresolved. So the idea of its (BP) transfer. Various options were considered:
- the BP transfer is a little closer to the motherboard, for this it would be necessary to saw the back wall of the case, the stiffening rib and the top of the plate of the MP installation site (it also holds the PSU and prevents it from sagging). But this did not solve two problems: the bending of the tubes of the coolant cooling system and the overlap of the PSU fan;
- moving the PSU down (under the MP) solves the two above-mentioned problems, but creates new ones - it interferes with the MP installation, and besides, it would have to cut half the body, it is possible to work with welding;
- the transfer of the PSU to the front of the case does not interfere with the tubes and does not block the fan. No need to cut half the body. The front side of the case has perforation, the PSU air is taken through in front of the case, blowing it down the case (through the bottom).
The last option has been selected. Further directly work with the case itself:
The photo below shows the bottom of the body with drilled holes for blowing PSU air. The holes were drilled manually using a steel plate, which was previously used for another case and subsequently played the role of a conductor. Their shape (holes) is not rectangular, in the "free" places the legs of the case are installed.
Then, using the coordinate-boring machine, holes were drilled on the upper case cover.

And finally, a place under the BP. Since the PSU itself will be moved forward of the case and installed “on the butt”, it is necessary to make an extension cord for it, and bring it to the rear wall of the case, making a dummy plate. A power cable served as an extension cord, slightly modified by a soldering iron. However, not all so simple. The factory-made cable did not get up as it should, in other words it rested on the bottom of the case and prevented the PSU installation (it was planned to use a 90 ° angled power cable). The way out of the situation was an old PSU with a “mother” type output, it was used to remake the cable (see the second photo below). The PSU itself will be attached using a screw stand (for the motherboard). The use of higher screw stands was not considered, since in this case the PSU would interfere with the installation of the HDD.
The final touch is staining. And the assembly itself.
Costs amounted to about 400 rubles. to paint, time is priceless.
