Satoshi Nakamoto is one of the 50 richest people in the world.

Forbes magazine has published the traditional list of the richest people in the world, in the 44th edition . For some reason, the list did not include one known anonymous author, who should be there in his actual state. Of course, this is the mysterious Satoshi Nakamoto, whose identity can be known only to NSA specialists - due to the threat to the global financial system and suspicions of Russian participation at the time they allegedly conducted a special operation to de-anonymize Satoshi , but the results were not reported to anyone.

At the time of the Forbes ranking, the bitcoin rate was $ 19,771, so Satoshi Nakamoto’s fortune can be estimated at $ 19.4 billion, this is the 44th place in the world. Immediately before Satoshi, Microsoft’s co-founder Paul Allen and Steve Jobs’s widow, Lauren Powell Jobs, and H & M’s Swedish entrepreneur and co-owner of H & M, Stephan Persson, would be on the Forbes list.

In 2008, Satoshi Nakamoto published a scientific article describing the principles of the blockchain ( pdf ). Then, like-minded people found on the forums helped to finalize the first version of the software - and he started mining on his weak computer. A typical Pentium class CPU was enough to get 50 BTC every 10 minutes.

Analysis of initial transactions (generation and waste of coins between blocks 1 and 36288, chart ) shows that from January 3, 2009 to January 25, 2010, only one person was engaged in mining, and an absolute majority of the coins mined at that time are kept by him so far.

Interestingly, in the coinbase parameter of the first block of Genesis, Satoshi Nakomoto, along with the technical data, wrote the phrase :

The Times 03/Jan/2009 Chancellor on brink of second bailout for banks

This phrase is the same as the one published by The Times for the same date.

It is proof that the first block was generated no earlier than the release date of the newspaper.

Researchers have repeatedly studied the generation of the first blocks, and they can clearly distinguish what satoshi namaynil, and what the rest. For example, the image of the first 15 blocks (marked with a block number and extraNonce) makes it clear that colleagues started helping from block 12 (illustration on the left). In general, in the first year, Satoshi led mining almost alone. Apparently, others did not want to overload the processors of their computers with an extraneous process.

So, after filtering out extra blocks, it turns out that 19,600 blocks were generated on the computer of an anonymous inventor of cryptocurrency, that is, 980,000 BTC. As mentioned above, tracking coins shows that almost all of them are still stored in the same wallets.

About the identity of the creator of Bitcoin, little is known. In his profile on the P2P Foundation, he said that he was from Japan, but Penenberg's expertise determined Satoshi to have an excellent knowledge of the English language, a bright and clear style, and a very small number of typos in the texts. According to the linguist, the developer of Bitcoin deliberately used British disguise to impede the linguistic analysis of their texts. For example, in the very first message on the forum he used American English, but after that he completely switched to classical spelling using words such as color instead of color, gray instead of gray and so on, decorating texts with refined phrases like bloody hard.

Analysis of the software code showed that the developer is “a world-class programmer with a deep knowledge of C ++ and an extensive background in the field of cryptography, economics and P2P systems”.

Satoshi Nakamoto has been creating Bitcoin since 2007. He continued to communicate with colleagues after the release of the software, but his appearance became more rare. In the spring of 2011, Satoshi announced his withdrawal from the project. As he himself said: "To engage in more important matters."
