Intel Xeon Scalable processors - new names and new models

Intel Xeon processors are officially introduced with new names - Platinum , Gold , Silver and Bronze . Information about the upcoming "rebranding" appeared on the pages of information resources from the beginning of the year, and now the official announcement of the whole family - Intel Xeon Scalable . Moreover, the family is very large - almost 60 models of all classes.



Xeon Scalable is notable for supporting some of the most advanced Intel technologies: Intel AVX-512 , Intel Mesh , Intel QuickAssist , Intel Optane SSD , Intel Omni-Path Fabric , which together gives a solid performance boost for almost all applications. Particularly significant progress has been made in the tasks of virtualization, high-performance computing and data storage. Another record is broken - the maximum cost of an Intel Xeon processor. Now it is $ 13,000 (for the Intel Xeon Platinum 8180M).
