Five reasons to go for JUG.EKB
A year has passed, when an article was published on Habré, what is JUG.EKB . During this time, the community has grown, but we still maintain a warm tradition, where the main goal is to unite Java developers. Therefore, we are pleased to inform that JUG.EKB is already on the nose and will be held on September 12th.
Below are five reasons why you should attend this event :)
1. Spend time usefully and listen to two reports

“Naumen Contact Center is a product with a service architecture (several dozen services), uses relational and non-relational databases (Oracle and Postgres are acceptable). Each service uses a database in its own way: it can be from 3 tables to 400. We make changes to the database schema or data for each major update - once every six months or a year.
The product is installed on the infrastructure of hundreds of customers, and therefore restrictions on access to the infrastructure are possible. And also there are limitations to this infrastructure: its expansion, for example.
Our team was faced with the task of making releases more frequent, which means customers need to be updated more often too. Consequently, updates should be simpler and faster, with less downtime.
Most of the techniques, reports and articles about Zero Downtime Migrations are mainly applicable only to Internet services. When there is only one Production, and the developer fully controls the infrastructure, then he can issue an unlimited number of releases per day and immediately roll them.
I’ll briefly talk about the most common update delivery method - Blue Green Deployment: why it doesn’t work with product development, and what solution we found to reduce downtime during database migrations. ”
