75 indicators affecting the growth of the site in 2020 in Yandex

Not so long ago, a new report by Ashmanov & Partners was released on factors affecting the ranking. The document, as usual, is quite voluminous. As last time, let us dwell on the most important parameters.

Take the table by the main system - Yandex.

1. ICS - Website Quality Index

X

Yandex Priorities in Evaluation

The “qualities” of sites are obvious: a good site is a big site,

with huge traffic, huge

number of pages and huge

assortment.

If it’s quite simple, then traffic is affecting the ICS. And the more traffic - the better the position. Vicious circle. Here thoughts slip at once, but aren’t they forcing us to buy paid traffic such as Yandex.Direct? I think there is some truth to this. Yandex is a 100% commercial structure and it is over making money.

My opinion - ICS, as an indicator, still does not affect anything.

2. The number of pages in the index

The parameter today is very important. I think this is due to the large number of aggregators that are increasingly crowding small sites. The key advantage of aggregators is the huge deep semantics due to the large number of product cards and filter parameters. What to do to improve:

a) Do not remove products from the site. Mark as "out of stock".

b) Create filters by parameters: red phones, cheap phones, etc. This is a very old and proven tool. It is relevant to this day.

c) Analyze competitors using software. For example, netpeak checker. Check the number of pages. The challenge is to do more. At the same time, you do not need to spam thoughtlessly. Create variety with filters.

3. Reference

Reference mass is not a key indicator today, but remains relevant. What should I look for when purchasing in 2020?

occurrences (words)

the request in the links to the site are important in both

search engines, links

on a URL — primarily on Google.

In simple words - it is recommended to use links to the key request in the text. For Google, it’s more important that the link leads to the page you are promoting, and Yandex estimates the total link weight, but pays attention to the link text and gives an impulse to relevant pages.

Example: A link with the “buy Lada Largus Boo” anchor.

For Google: put a link to a specific page of the category, for example site.ru/bu-auto/lada-largus. She gets a plus in the extradition.

For Yandex: put a link to the site.ru home page. Plus, the page receives site.ru/bu-auto/lada-largus.

On average, Google uses a link factor to rank the site as a whole and the specific page. Yandex is limited only to the site. Accordingly - Google still loves links more than Yandex.

Research suggests links continue to work. How to understand if links to my site are needed?

a) Collect 5-8 competitors from your niche (competitors can be collected using megaindex or similar web, collect by the general visibility of the site, and not by specific keys);

b) Analyze them with the help of analyzers, for example NetPeackChecker and see how they are similar and what are very different. For example, 6 out of 8 sites have 100 links each. So you should start buying reference mass. If the picture is the opposite - no links are needed, look for another parameter that brings together leaders.

If you still decide to purchase, I will separately highlight the category of expensive links (from 5000r). A few recommendations:

a) Do not buy expensive links at the initial stage of link building. Better bigger, but with wider coverage of key queries.

b) Be sure to strengthen such links. You can strengthen it with simple links from drops (this is when you restore an old thematic domain or buy it on an exchange, such as auction.nic.ru or telderi.ru, and put links to an article with a purchased link from it), you can social. networks, cheaper links, etc.

Example: Forbes wrote about you. You immediately posted about this information in your social. profile, they wrote on all sites, ordered references from bloggers and generally tried their best to let everyone know about it.

c) Bookmark the article with the link and go once a month. It is important that the anchor and text do not change. Watch for the banal presence of a link if you are not buying through the exchange.

d) Ask the webmaster to add a link from other thematic articles to yours and try to ensure that your link is in a single copy. Often you will go to a meeting.

4. Visits (traffic to the site)

Yes, the position in the TOP 10 depends on the traffic to your site. And if the site is new? A subtle hint of contextual advertising? One of the key findings of the study is:

Yandex Priorities in Evaluation

The “qualities” of sites are obvious: a good site is a big site,

with huge traffic, huge

number of pages and huge

assortment.

Unfortunately, there is nothing much to talk about here. If you have a new site - work on other quality indicators. In a study, it sounds like this:

And only after the twentieth position do the parameters related to

which naturally would be called the quality of the site without representative

search engines hypocrisy - the proportion of links to the main page of a site, behavioral metrics (duration of visit, failure rate, page views per

visit). This also includes the share of transitions from "good" sources: from social. networks, from mail, from advertising. Followed by

parameters related to social. networks, and parameters describing functionality

Site: registration, card payment, delivery

(pickup), etc.

5. Huge range

A curious indicator, both for online stores and for service sites. In principle, it’s almost the same as the indicator under number 2. It’s very interesting to check on sites with services (I’m doing this right now). If everything is more or less clear with online stores, competition with aggregators dictates the rules. That, in services, this indicator can be used including for small sites. For example, if you are a psychologist, you should create the maximum matrix of services and divide them into pages. Family therapy, therapy for him, therapy for her, therapy for pregnant women, paired therapy, Skype, etc. Add to this more training, franchise, webinars and we should get an advantage over those who have all these services on one or three pages.

Further, the list includes such parameters as:

Domains referring to a site (links in essence)

The number of visits to the site (traffic)

Alexa Rank (Traffic)

Visits: direct transitions (traffic)

Visits: mail (mailing)

I do not want to dwell on them in detail, this is approximately the same as described above.

Let us dwell on the conclusions:

1. Even if you can’t influence the traffic of your site and its age (however,

here time works for you), to increase the reference mass and assortment - it’s quite

in your power.

I think no comments are required here.

2. Think - maybe with traffic sources everything is not so hopeless?

For example, if you make some useful service, arrange a contest, promote Instagram ...

Attract traffic not only from search engines, use any other sources. It is quite real, even on a free basis.

3. The size of the display case is an indirect indicator of the range.

Do not remove products from the site, expand the product matrix, analyze competitors and download more products.

4. The number of pages on the site in general and relevant to the request in particular may

to be very important. If for a group of models (or service options) you can do

one common page or several separate ones - the second option is better.

Work out your semantics well. Identify the right clusters, monitor the commerciality and informationalness of requests.

5. In many industries (for example, in e-commerce), large means working throughout

country. Perhaps you have at least partners or pick-up points in others

cities? Their addresses (phones) can be very useful. Phone "8-800- ..." and even

an offer to customers to order a call back - too.

Show the maximum service on the site, even if you don’t have one yet.

6. Address (s) and telephone (s) are important in and of themselves - as proof of your offline existence. If possible, back them up with presence on maps and other Yandex and Google services.

How to add to Yandex directory I have an article .

7. For sensitive industries like medicine and finance, you also need proof of your competence - certificates, registration certificates, information about specialists, high-quality thematic content from a bonus turn into a necessity. Check out the Google Assessors Guide to see what's important for your industry.

8. If you hope for a miracle, social networks are one of those places where miracles happen. But even if not, they can no longer be neglected. Like reviews.

9. Low prices - not the main thing. The main thing is discounts

That’s probably all. Thank you for your attention, I hope it was useful. Write in private messages if you have questions. I will give recommendations on the use of this study on your site.
