November 29, 6 p.m. - devleads-mitap

Hello!

Today we have an announcement for the fast and for those who still do not have plans for Friday night, November 29th. The day after tomorrow we will hold devleads-meetings for development managers, team leaders and other guys who are interested in this topic.

We will have three reports from speakers from Alfa Bank, Sberbank and RationalAnswer.ru.

Participation is free by pre-registration , we meet again at Bersenevskaya embankment, house 6, building 3.

19:05 - Timlidism in the EU

Anna Abramova, Head of Development at Sberbank

What is required of team lead in the EU? What are the options for moving? What should you be prepared for? Differences and similarities in corporate culture. And other hot questions. Case from own practice.

20:10 - Personal finance for a reasonable person. What to do with your salary?

Pavel Komarovsky, RationalAnswer.ru

So you are a programmer. You are lucky to be among the qualified specialists in the industry in demand with a salary well above the average level and good growth potential. How to manage this money?

Uncle Peter Parker said: "With great power comes great responsibility." And with big money big questions come, the correct answer to which is not always easy:

There is no shortage of answers to these questions on the Internet: offers come out of all the cracks to get rich by trading on Forex, invest in the “most promising” startup or participate in the next ICO crypto moneybox. Unfortunately, most of these advisers are openly trying to give you something, rather than give an objective picture of reality.

In my report I will talk about the answers to which I personally came to. With a minimum of bullshitting and marketing tricks, but with a maximum of data analysis, links to research and a reasonable approach.

21:00 - What is wrong with technical interviews?

Ilya Kuznetsov, Head of Mobile Development at Alfa Bank

Imagine you come to the office of the company where you were invited to a technical interview. As usual in such situations, you are a little worried, but try not to show it, by the way, it turns out pretty good for you.

“Good afternoon,% username%. How did they get to us? Tea coffee? Come over there ”- smiling politely, HR tells you, with whom you had a nice conversation yesterday by phone. After asking for a glass of water, you go into the meeting room with the expectation that the next hour will pass after an interesting conversation on technical topics in which you, in general, are well versed.

But something went wrong, and you drive home completely depressed and with a feeling of emptiness. During the whole interview, you solved strange problems on the paper, answered the questions from the article “Top 50 Questions for Interviews” and tried to fill the school bus with sewer manholes, and the severe interviewer did not give you even the slightest chance to show your skills. He was obviously busy discussing something extremely important with colleagues in the team chat.

A familiar feeling? Perhaps your candidates are experiencing the same thing, and you do not even know about it.

In my report, I would like to touch on the topic of technical interviews, namely, how to conduct such interviews in the most effective, interesting and useful way for both parties. For examples, we’ll analyze a few mistakes that are so popular with interviewees, and try to draw up an action plan to improve the situation. After all, everyone benefits from a well-conducted technical interview.
