Tesla drivers and 2.5 million tons of CO2
Tesla showed a new map of the impact of its cars on harmful emissions into the atmosphere and claims that at the moment has already helped to avoid the release of 2.5 million tons of CO2. Last year, Tesla talked about 1.3 million tons.
It is not yet clear what exactly the calculation methodology was used - it is obvious that it can be considered differently. The easiest way is to sum up the average exhaust of the same number of internal combustion engines of cars of the Tesla Model S / X segment, which is sold by Tesla itself.
Of course, those regions on the map where electricity is generated from renewable sources will give a more accurate picture than those where coal-fired power plants are common.

The numbers are quite expected, except perhaps Hong Kong, which turned out to be slightly ahead of Norway, but its position will probably change soon, as sales in Hong Kong almost stopped after the government significantly reduced subsidies for electric vehicles, while sales in Norway continue to beat all records.
