Orange Pi 2G-IoT - the perfect single board for IoT

About a month ago, information appeared on the network about the rather remarkable Orange Pi 2G-IOT single-player device, designed to implement various projects in the field of the Internet of things.

The solution is based on SoC RDA8810PL. This chip contains the computing core ARM Cortex-A5 with a clock speed of 1.0 GHz, 256KB L2 cache, 256MB of LPDDR2 RAM, 512MB of SLC NAND flash memory, and the Vivante GC860 graphics controller.

There is a 4-band GSM / GPRS modem that provides the ability to exchange data over cellular networks. Also on the board has a slot for a SIM-card.

The tiny computer carries onboard Wi-Fi 802.11b / g / n and Bluetooth 2.1 / EDR wireless adapters on the RDA5991 controller. There is a full-sized USB 2.0 port, a 3.5-mm audio jack with an FM antenna outputted to it and a Micro-USB port with OTG support and power supply through it, a microphone, a 3-pin UART debugging interface, a CSI connector for connecting the camera up to 2Mpx with the ability to capture and video up to 1080p @ 30fps, connector for connecting an LCD display resolution up to qHD (960 x 540).



The board has a 40-pin comb of SPI, I2C, ADC, GPIO connectors, similar to the Raspberry Pi B +. Board dimensions are only 67 × 42 mm and weight is 35 g. A microSD flash card with a capacity of up to 8 GB can be used for data storage.



Declared support for operating systems: Android, Ubuntu, Debian and Rasberry Pi images.



The price of the Orange Pi 2G-IoT is about $ 10.
