The Playme P600SG costs 16,000 rubles, allows you to shoot in Super HD format and is distinguished by the presence of a false signal filtering system. We will not repeat the characteristics that are obvious to everyone, but note the features. The Playme P600SG distinguishes two features from most devices available on the market:
The device has its own memory to save a backup copy of the video. So if you wish, you can safely give the memory card with the original to the inspector at the scene of the accident.
When the “pain” threshold is zero degrees for most combo devices with a lithium battery, the device can operate at -20. This means that you do not have to wait for the interior to warm up.
The card reader is not included in the kit by chance - there is no connector for connecting to a computer in the P600SG. Therefore, updating the databases and fresh firmware need to be copied to the device’s memory card.
The hybrid is made in the classic form factor for horn devices. The case is stretched forward, and in the area of the screen is the most massive (due to the large screen) part of the device.
The frames around the front of the display are minimal; four of the six control buttons are installed on them.

Users of DVRs may notice the absence of two popular quick access functions - turning on / off the screen and microphone.
They were removed so as not to overload the device with keys. Instead, the settings can be set to automatically turn off the screen after 30 seconds or 1/3/5 minutes. After the specified time, the picture of the main screen will turn off, but a splash screen will appear with the current speed on a black background. And so that the display does not blind the driver at night and is not too dull during the day, the brightness can be adjusted by briefly pressing the side keys.
As for the microphone control, on / off is available through the settings. However, the question of whether it is necessary to urgently disable it remains open.
The body of the device is made of matte plastic and in black. Only the overlay around the screen is a little glossy and gray. As a result, fingerprints are practically invisible on the body.
For high-quality ventilation - slots for passive cooling are present both above and below the model.
Power is supplied through a compact cigarette lighter adapter. The cable length is about three meters.
Glass holder - bracket with a strong vacuum suction cup. The built-in hinge allows you to select any position of the hybrid, and also, if necessary, quickly deploy it to the side or even into the interior. An important plus is the washer, with the help of which the rigidity of fixing the current position is adjusted. As a result, you can make sure that on the one hand the model does not twitch on each bump, but on the other it can be rotated without unnecessary efforts.
Another plus of the articulated joint is that the device can be easily positioned on the glass not strictly in the middle, but on the side. At the same time, the hinge will still allow you to build the correct viewing angle of the road. This is useful on machines with a low unit with a rain sensor.
The holder is quick-detachable, you can remove the device with one hand. To do this, it is enough to lift the front “tail” with your finger, after which the device is removed from the bracket without unnecessary difficulties.
The GPS-informant works on the basis of the camera’s location base built into the hybrid’s memory; the device detects the proximity to the settings via the GPS receiver and warns about objects ahead.

On the highway, the hybrid confidently detects at a distance of up to 1,600 meters all relevant radar detectors on Russian roads in 2019, including Avtouragan, Amata, Binar, Vizir, Iskra, Cordon, Krechet, Chris-P, LISD, Radis, Robot, Skat and others.
Of course, a sore point, especially in the city - false positives. To minimize their number, Playme uses the SAFP (Superior Anti-falsing Platform) system in the P600SG. It eliminates false signals from motion sensors, automatic doors, vehicle blind spot control devices and other devices operating in ranges similar to those of police radars. The hybrid really works very quietly. Therefore, even in the city, it is not necessary to turn off the Playme P600SG radar detector, leaving alerts only on GPS points.
The model refers to signature devices. The memory contains samples of radar signals, and by name.
The radar part can work in one of five modes:
Track. Signals of all radar ranges are detected, and the device also alerts about cameras from the GPS base.
City 1. Reception of radar signals in the bands K, Laser, signature recognition, as well as notification of cameras from the GPS base.
City 2. Reception of laser radar signals and signature recognition, as well as notification of cameras from the GPS base.
GPS DB. Alerts only on the GPS base.
Auto Automatic mode selection based on speed. Up to 40 km / h - City 2, 40-70 km / h - City 1, over 70 km / h - Route.
In the settings, you can set a certain speed (from 10 to 70 km / h), below which radar detection will not work. It’s logical - why notify if you do not violate the speed limit. In the same speed range, a threshold is available below which the radar detector will operate in silent mode - alerts will only be displayed visually on the device’s screen.
The model has an MStar AIT8328Q processor, an OmniVision 4689 matrix and a lens with glass lenses and a wide viewing angle of 135 degrees diagonally. By default, the program mode WDR is turned on, which helps to equalize the brightness in the frame - during the day it is useful when driving against the sun, and at night the illumination of license plates decreases.
Recording is done in fragments of 1, 3 or 5 minutes, three bitrate options are available, for Super HD and Full HD the frame rate is 30 fps. One minute of the video “weighs” about 130 MB, so a 16 GB memory card is enough for two hours of continuous recording. Three stamps are available on top of the video: license plate number, date / time and coordinates.

The quality of the daily recording is excellent - the detail is in perfect order, the distortions at the edges of the frame are insignificant. On average during the day, car numbers are visible from 10-12 meters. Color rendering - no distortion.

At night, license plates are read from 5-6 meters. There is no excessive dimming or, on the contrary, “bullied” brightness (and as a result of continuous overexposure of numbers).
The microphone guarantees the audibility of the words of the inspector standing by the car. When driving with the engine running, the soundtrack also remains legible.
The Playme P600SG signature is a top-notch combo device. High-quality day and night shooting of Super HD, complemented by a high range of radar detection and guarantees minimal false positives. Due to the regularity of updates, the “speed” mode shows a good completeness of the database. All this with a willingness to work at -20 - especially for Russia.
