People’s lives should improve. The main conclusions of the Moscow meeting of IoT-manufacturers

Video surveillance, ship management and repair of jewelry - how these and other areas are changing under the influence of IoT technologies, the visitors of the 4th International Internet of Things forum learned.

The conference was attended by representatives of the IIDF, CROC, Renova Group of Companies and the Internet of Things Association. They discussed the impact of digitalization on the business and IoT market from the point of view of professional investors and explored the practical experience of KFC, McDonald's and Lukoil.

In addition, promising IoT startups were awarded at the event. We talk about the main results of the forum.

Three years vs 50 years and 4 million rubles saved - entertaining IoT-statistics

The conference was opened by SAP expert Andrei Troitsky . He cited encouraging statistics:

At the same time, Andrei cited the example of using the SAP Leonardo system in business. He spoke about the case study of Swarovski, which uses this product to check the condition of jewelry: in fact, the AI conducts expertise, determines the need for repairs and makes a list of the necessary replacement parts.

We are talking about other SAP customers. So, the German company Kaeser Compressors uses the system to control equipment and improve customer service, and the world's largest chemical concern BASF - to improve the efficiency of production processes. Download speaker presentation

Vladimir Dashchenko, a security researcher at Kaspersky Lab , shared the statistics of vulnerabilities in industrial automation systems over the past year and a half:

In order to “patch the holes”, Kaspersky Lab ICS-CERT launched a project on the safety of the automated process control systems in the Laboratory. His goal is to search and analyze vulnerabilities, investigate successful attacks, analyze malware and penetrate testing.

Vladimir also presented examples from the practice of Kaspersky Lab ICS-CERT, in order to visually show how the project is useful in business.

“Safety should be considered at the design stage. You can avoid product vulnerabilities if you conduct an audit before production, ”the specialist emphasized. Download speaker presentation

More than 4 million rubles per year were saved thanks to the automated management system in data centers. Vyacheslav Maksimov, Industrial Solutions Director at KROK, spoke about this project to reduce energy consumption. In addition, with the help of the project, it was possible to establish continuous monitoring of equipment and monitoring of key indicators. More about the project

And KROK's video surveillance system optimized the work of the security services: it processes incidents that are within the visibility of the cameras, analyzes them and sends reports to managers. In this case, the system recognizes the incident at the very beginning and notifies employees about the problem through Telegram. Download speaker presentation

“Magic happens with the help of IoT,” said creators of RealDoll sex robots Matt McMullen and Kino Korsi . They told exactly how their creations work - Harmony AI.

Thanks to the technology of the Internet of Things, their smart dolls have become smart. In addition to the built-in algorithm, they are controlled using a mobile application. And with access to cloud services, they are trained. Even today, robots speak almost all languages of the world, which solves the issue of communication and turns a toy into a full-fledged "member of society" and a smart business assistant. “We need to take and implement” - and other conclusions of the round table

Experts came to this conclusion at the roundtable from the Internet of Things Association. Representatives of VAVIOT, NIITS, Dispatcher and Lartech took part in it.

Gleb Pyzhov, deputy director of the association, said that standards in IoT should be for the benefit of people.

“People’s lives should improve. Therefore, we need an open dialogue between developers, the public sector and private business, ”he stressed.

The Industrial Internet of Things was discussed by the companies “Tsifra”, T1-Group, “Rotek”. It is interesting that in different countries technology is called differently. This was explained by Alexander Smolensky, Director of Development for Tsifra: for example, in Germany - Industry 4.0, in the USA - the Internet of Things, in Russia - the digital economy. "One essence, but different names," he concluded.

Yury Krylov, CTO's technical director, said: “The Internet of Things solutions are not an abstraction. They exist in various industries: transport, energy. I urge you not to be afraid, the decisions have proven themselves well. Need to take and implement.

As for the LoRa and LoRaWAN networks, the speakers from STRIZH, Aurora, Network 868, Kerlink and Intersvyaz concluded that for some tasks a closed LoRa network would be better, for others - an open LoRaWAN.

In addition, monopolies are not expected, so the market is open to new players. This is true for both Europe and Russia.

Homemade protein or stroke in virtual reality?

In addition to the conference and the round table, the event hosted the Battle of Startups - a presentation of innovative projects to experts and investors. It was attended by 15 projects.

Introducing the top three.

1st place: the Belka project - a device for combining all smart home appliances into a single network. Even if the buyer does not have smart devices in the house, the gadget will still come in handy. He monitors the indoor climate, controls the devices with remote controls, conducts video surveillance and transmits what is happening on the smartphone owner. In addition, “Belka” communicates with the user on the application and reports the news digest “on the topic of the day”: traffic jams, exchange rates and major events.

2nd place: the startup MoveReHub is a medical VR project for the rehabilitation of patients after a stroke. The developers have created an application with which the patient can perform the necessary exercises in a game form. It helps to maintain concentration and interest in exercise. Using the application, you can also compete and communicate with other patients, which provides additional psychological support to those affected by the disease.

3rd place: the Allyst project is a platform for building IoT networks and control centers. Its feature is versatility, so it is suitable for connected cars, smart cities and homes, medical devices, etc.

On the results achieved - the winners of the battle of startups:

Grigory Zarudaev (Belka):

The exhibition helped to draw the attention of FRIA and agree on an expert session. Of useful contacts, Centr2m represented by Denis Meganov (discussed the possibility of adding universal SIM-cards to the device), Magic Systems integrator represented by Alexander Meschersky, is also worth noting. In general, about fifty useful contacts, as well as new private clients.

Anna Slobodenyuk (MoveReHub)

Thanks to the event, we are interested in potential investors and partners, with whom we continued to communicate already outside the conference.

Taras Khalturin (Allyst)

We have established contact with a major Russian integrator and are now trying to form partnerships within the framework of project solutions. It was possible to attract the attention of one investment fund. It was also a pleasant surprise to see the interest in the project from a large state-owned company. In general, we received very good feedback in the process of communicating with visitors to the exhibition, and this is especially important for projects that are in the initial stages of entering the market.
