Electric cars today and tomorrow

The production of electric cars and the development of infrastructure goes at an accelerating pace. Here are some numbers that will help assess the evolution of the EV market today.

Tesla Sales

In the third quarter, the manufacturer sold a record number of cars. The plans were 23,000 Model S and Model X, but in fact managed to deliver 14,065 Model S and 11,865 Model X, which is 17.7% more than in the same period last year. Such large numbers are also an indication that the launch of the production of the Model 3 had almost no noticeable effect on the consumer demand of the Model S.

Tesla Semi Truck

October 26 to be held presentation Tesla Semi Truck. A tractor that must turn the trucking industry. No details were known on it except this advertising banner from Tesla itself:

But today a picture has hit the network, in which, perhaps, a new tractor from Tesla was shot:

From this photo there is little that can be understood, except that it really looks very futuristic and aerodynamic.

Tesla Superchargers

Only that the Tesla Supercharger network overcame a new milestone in 1000 charging stations (6.934 charges) worldwide. The thousandth station was opened in Franklin Park near Pittsburgh, PA. It was one of the 226 stations that were built this year:

I wonder if there will be enough such a pace of construction to achieve the goals set by Tesla itself in 10,000 charges by the end of this year?

Chevrolet Bolt Sales

In August of this year, sales of the Chevy Bolt EV became significantly higher, but recently there was the first really serious jump in purchases due to the fact that the Bolt was officially sold in all US states. Also purchases spur good discounts associated with the support of electric vehicles from the US government. For example, in California, Bolt can be bought for $ 25,000. In September 2,632 vehicles were delivered.

Chevrolet also promises to show two new electric vehicles in a year and a half, and another 20 in the next 5 years.

The B1 electric SUV from Bollinger Motors, a startup from New York, received more than 10,000 pre-orders this summer.

There are 2 battery options:
